Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one support to individuals with severe and complex Mental Health issues, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to crisis situations, utilising de-escalation techniques and other appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
- Skill Development: Assist clients in developing essential life skills, coping strategies, and social skills to enhance their independence and daily functioning.
- Advocacy: Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community and healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate services and support.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with severe and complex Mental Health challenges is highly desirable.
- Education: A relevant qualification in Mental Health, social work, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Resilience: Strong emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster trust.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively in challenging situations.
