Interim Chief Financial Officer

The Company: 

This growth orientated Private Equity backed business, will be expanding over the coming months as they are looking to make a number of exciting acquisitions.
  
To enable this growth and to support the rigour required by the business, a hands on CFO is required to corporatise the company and commercially co-pilot their strategic growth.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Founder / CEO, this role will have full financial stewardship of the accounting function from a clerical level through to team management and will include the following responsibilities: 

• Ownership and responsibility for the output of the financial reporting, management and Board reporting, Tax, Treasury, IT / systems and related projects.
• Cash flow reporting, working capital and supply chain management.
• Have the ability to generate insights from financial and operational data as opposed to just "reporting the numbers"
• Pro-active management of the team to engage, up skill, mentor and develop a high-performance culture. 
• Process review and then development and implementation where required to ensure best practice is in place.
• Management of Bank and Audit relationships. 
• System improvement and implementation where necessary across the function to ensure efficiency.
• M&A responsibilities - acquisition focused business looking to expand their footprint interstate.
• Ad hoc project work as required by the CEO and Board

This list is by no means exhaustive and due to the growth agenda of the business, the duties will have some fluidity to them as will team structure. 
The Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will have a strong finance background with experience in:

• Integration/development of processes, systems and people
• Corporatisation of the finance function 
• Experience working for a PE backed business
• Audit readiness.
• Technical finance - Big 4 preferable
• Commercial finance - partnering operations 
• Lead various ad-hoc business projects 

As the successful candidate for this role, you will have experience working in a growth orientated business, with a hands on / roll up your sleeves approach. 
You will be CA/CPA qualified, and it's imperative that you're able to influence at a board level and able to demonstrate a strong track record of leading change and transformation in a variety of ways.
