Our client is a global brand with offices in Melbourne's CBD. With a mandate for growth, efficiency and the continued diversification of its services, a Commercial Manager is currently sought to assist with the review of a range of current and proposed business projects.
The Opportunity
As the Interim Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing a diverse portfolio of projects, varying in scope and expenditure. You will work closely with the CFO to introduce appropriate financial controls, review spend, and assist in prioritizing projects to ensure the best return on investment for the business. Your strong commercial acumen, coupled with exceptional emotional intelligence (EQ) and stakeholder management skills, will be key to your success in this role.
Required skills & experience
We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant, with prior experience working as a Commercial Manager, Decision Support or Finance Business Partner. Additionally, we are seeking an individual with the following attributes:
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, business casing and project evaluation
- Excellent EQ with the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make commercially driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
