Our client is a successful Architecture and Interior practice who has a great reputation, strong retention rate and known for their cosy mid-sized studio environment. This medium-sized firm specialises in high-end residential projects including high-rise apartments, single unit occupancy, private houses and, most recently, having won a belt of Hospitality/Hotel projects, is currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Interior Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. This newly created position has become available due extensive growth and expansion. This practice has a very stable team and is now looking for a talented designer that is looking for longevity in their career.
Your new role
- Work closely with the Senior Associate to lead and manage the team by working both independently and within project teams;
- Integrate interior design and architecture within the practice;
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants and clients at different levels and stages;
- Participate in resolving detailing and technical issues in line with the project’s design agenda;
- You'll expect to have come from a strong understanding of the BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications;
- Contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to on-site construction management and contract administration;
- Prepare presentations and communicate designs in Revit, Indesign, Photoshop etc.;
- Where appropriate, manage project teams, deliverables, and finances to meet profit targets & deadlines;
- Report regularly to the Management Team regarding the status of projects, issues or ad-hoc tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 6–7 years' post-graduation experience;
- Professional Degree in Interior Architecture/Interior Design;
- Leadership skills: driving projects, including client presentations, participation in meetings and workshops;
- Ideally, have cross-disciplined sector experience including hotel, residential, multi-residential, commercial workplace;
- Enjoy working across different disciplines and/or sectors
- Previous experience through all phases of design (concept design through construction administration);
- Strong contract documentation and detailing experience Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite.
