Who We Are Seeking
We are on the lookout for an experienced, motivated and talented Interior Designer or Architect with a proven track record in designing, presenting and meticulously documenting retail and residential projects. This role requires not just creative flair but also a thorough understanding of contemporary design trends.
Going beyond the conceptual, this position demands a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills to guide designs from inception to completion with precision and finesse, all within a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional time management and organisational skills are essential, as you will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
While autonomy is important, collaboration is equally valued. The successful candidate will have a willingness to learn, be open to creative direction and feedback and foster a collaborative spirit with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Design Director and Team to develop compelling concept designs
• Produce captivating perspective drawings and refined 3D visuals for presentations
• Undertake spatial planning and meticulous arrangement
• Drive schematic design and design development processes
• Prepare comprehensive documentation packages for construction, including detailed finish and fixture specifications
• Develop submission packages for DA, CDC, and CC approvals
Professional Skills Required
• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or Architecture
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in Australia in retail and residential design projects
• Demonstrate a strong conceptual design ability
• Showcase proficiency in hand sketching and perspective drawing
• Exhibit strong documentation skills, including joinery detailing
• Possess sound technical knowledge and the ability to produce complete construction documentation packages
• Proficiency in Vectorworks 2D and 3D preferred
• Have a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy
• Command a working knowledge of Australian building regulations and guidelines
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
