About the role.

You’ll be responsible for delivering quality accounting outcomes including the preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and tax requirements. You’ll be preparing jobs from start to finish across a range of areas such as financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and cost management.

You’ll be working within a team of Carbonites who are all excellent at what they do, and strive to foster a positive team environment where you’ll be able to thrive.

Your responsibilities.

No two days will be the same, but here’s an insight into what you can expect:

• Client management and liaison.
• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, and small to medium businesses.
• Creating and advising on various trading structures.
• Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Liaising with the ATO.
• Business budgeting and cash flow management.
• Business benchmarking.
• Additional ad hoc tasks.

We're looking for someone with:

• Tertiary accounting qualification.
• Completed or completing CA/CPA.
• Minimum 3 years tax experience with direct client communication
• Experience in the preparation of Financial Statements and tax returns.
• Excellent knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
• Experience with MYOB/Xero and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.
