We are looking for a self-motivated junior/Intermediate Accountant to join our office. Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of MYOB, Xero, BGL and other software will be highly regarded. You will receive support & mentoring as well as opportunities for further career progression and training.
Tasks:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns (Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships)
- Preparation of BAS, IAS and annual GST return
- Reconciliation of bank account, wages and GST
- Liaising with other staff, clients and the ATO
- Provide assistance and guidance to clients with regards to STP, bookkeeping system and software implementation.
- General office duties and administrative tasks
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:
- Permanent Residency in Australia
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Public Practice in Australia
- Effective communication skill and good attention to detail
- Quick learner and self motivated
- Great time management, ability to meet deadlines and priorities
- Experience in MS Office, Xero, MYOB, BGL and/or Reckon software is advantageous
The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in taxation & accounting, a good understanding of accounting & taxation principles, high attention to detail, ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment with a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
