The role is at a boutique Accounting and advisory firm, who are seeking a qualified Intermediate Accountant with experience in Taxation and Business Services within a public accounting practice to join its team of 15 staff who are dedicated to offering their clients the highest level of service.
You will have leadership ability, the right attitude, personality and the ability to work as a team member.
Ideally you will have the following experience and characteristics:
- Minimum 3 years in a similar position
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail
- Work with limited supervision
- Proactive
- Excellent computer skills
- A good team spirit and an empathy towards other people
The Role
This role is very hands-on and rewarding. Working with a variety of clients you will be responsible for the following duties:
- All aspects of corporate tax and associated accounting, including:
- prepare, or assist in preparing, simple to complex tax returns for client groups;
- ensuring compliance with all tax requirements;
- prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
- tax planning; and
- preparation of consulting advice in respect of income tax, fringe benefits tax, capital gains tax, and goods and services tax;
- Work closely with the partners and managers to effectively complete client's work on a timely basis.
- Management and analysis of client billing.
