About the Job:
Our Business Advisoryteam is currently searching for anIntermediate Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an outstanding Accountant who is excited about the career progression prospects available at Pilot. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will play an integral part in the success of your team and the firm as a whole. You will be responsible for offering guidance and mentoring to the more junior members as well as being a 'go to' person for Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners.
This role offers a hybrid working style, with the flexibility of working from our modern offices in Brisbane CBD, and from home.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be working with Partners, Managers, and Senior staff on a variety of assignments including:
- Working with Senior staff, Managers and Partners to meet with clients and manage client relationships
- Business and large group structuring
- General Advisory work
- Tax returns, BASs, Financial Accounts
- General compliance work
- Leading and mentoring the junior team members
- Prepare and deliver staff training from time to time
About You:
This role is full of untapped potential and as a result, we are looking for an outstanding and ambitious individual. To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be able to clearly demonstrate experience in the field, and proven success in a similar role
- Have completed CA or working towards completion
- Clearly be able to prepare financial accounts for owner managed businesses
- Be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Australian income tax law for companies, trusts and super funds and individuals
- Be a strong and driven individual and happy to work in a collaborative manner, or autonomously to achieve success
- Have a high command of the English language both written and verbal, with a clear professional phone manner
- Be highly organised, with excellent time management skills
- Be willing and excited to attend internal and external professional networking events
- Be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Have experience in XPA, Advanced Tax and Desktop Super would be an advantage
