Duties and responsibilities, subject to experience level include:
- Assisting our clients with their ongoing tax compliance obligations;
- Building professional relationships with our clients;
- Advice and research into various value-added services (e.g. estate planning, business succession, corporate restructures, international tax, capital gains tax etc.)
- Mentoring and training; and
- Building a professional working relationship with clients.
The successful applicant must have the following qualities:
- University qualified, career-focused and highly personable;
- Have 2-4 Years experience;
- CA or CPA completed or near completion;
- Strong technical tax skills and solid knowledge of Div 7A, FBT and CGT;
- A professional approach and the ability to work autonomously;
- Focused and committed to achieving client deadlines;
- Excellent presentation, communication and attention to detail;
- Great attitude towards learning;
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite; and
- Experience in Xero, MYOB and BGL.
Remuneration & benefits:
- Attractive remuneration including a sign-on bonus (competitive market rates and subject to the candidate's skills and experience);
- Monthly rostered day off (RDO) in addition to annual leave entitlements;
- Our clients are of a size and complexity that is typically akin to the private clients division of the Big 4 (i.e. $5m - $100m turnover across a broad range of industries.)
- In-house training by a former advisor to the Board of Taxation;
- You will work alongside ex-Big 4 CAANZ qualified partners with over 15 years-experience and will be encouraged to progress your career to a manager role;
- Assistance with CA/CPA study including financial support and time off work to study;
- Laptop and I.T equipment will be provided to the successful applicant.
