About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven 4th year Pharmacy Student (immediate start) or Intern (immediate or end of year start) to join us. Our focus is on providing valuable professional services and community engagement, offering complete health solutions to our community.
As our Intern, you will be mentored and work under supervision to deliver high quality pharmacy services to our customers, whilst taking an active role in the growth and success of the Pharmacy.
Opportunities beyond intern year may also exist for those who wish to strive further in their career. Our group is growing, our local area is growing and we are looking for a dedicated intern to grow with us as an integral part of our healthcare team.
What’s required to be an Intern Pharmacist?
- Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree completed before starting date
- Provisional Registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA before starting date
- A major focus on patient centred care and facilitating optimal patient outcomes
- Exceptional Customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to show initiative to lead and work as part of a dynamic team with a broad range of roles and responsibilities and
- MINFOS experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:
- Counsel and prepare prescriptions under supervision accurately and efficiently and confirm accuracy of prescriptions dispensed by non-pharmacists
- Updating patient charts and profiles
- Assist in the provision of Dose Administration Aids under the supervision of a pharmacist with general registration
- Provide counselling and advice to consumers for both their medicine (both prescribed and over the counter) and their medical conditions, whilst under supervision
- Consult customers in a friendly, professional and timely fashion including on the schedules counter
- Execute Health and Professional Services to the highest standard.
- Replenish and coordinate stock - including robot stocking, stocktakes and general stock control in the dispensary.
- Actively utilise all available resources to promote Professional Services and increase community awareness and uptake of services
