On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently recruiting an Internal Auditor for a 12 month contract. You will be part of the Internal Audit JSOX Team, reporting to the Audit Manager located at the Company’s Corporate Perth CBD office.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring audit activities are conducted in accordance with relevant professional standards
- Assisting in the preparation of a risk based strategic audit plan which is approved by Audit Committee
- Driving the audit process from; leading planning, stakeholder Kick-Off & Status Update meetings, drafting and finalisation of reporting and final presentations
- Consult closely with the Risk Team in understanding operational risk and compliance risks and incorporating them in annual audit planning
- Assist in the preparation of periodic reporting to the relevant management and Audit Committee
- Conduct follows ups on audit findings and escalate overdue high findings
- Undergraduate degree – Accounting accompanied with a CPA/CA or CIA membership
- Knowledge of International Auditing Standards
- Previous experience working in internal auditing
- Relevant Oil & Gas industry experience is preferable
- Credentials and experience in assessing key business processes and technology
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and proficiency in the use of data analysist techniques
- Proven skills in managing multiple assignments
- Demonstrate you have led successful teams and International / Remote audit assignments
- Organisational skills - can work alone to deliver outcomes in a complex environment
- Excellent report writing and communication skills allowing the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders

- $78.00 - $98.00 per hour (inclusive of super)
