About the RoleAs the
Internal Auditor, you will responsible for performing audits of financial and operational functions to ensure that Queensland Country's control environment and internal controls are adequate and appropriate to manage the risks that the business faces.This is a full-time 18-month contract based on a 38-hour work week with the potential for a permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Townsville Head Office or Brisbane Admin Office.
About You- Ability and desire to undertake thorough investigative processes
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Exceptional time management skills
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- A high level of computer literacy including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Previous experience in or knowledge of Australian and International auditing standards produced by the Institute of Internal Auditors under International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF)
- Previous experience in report writing
- Sound knowledge of legislation and standards applicable to financial services
- Previous financial institution or health fund experience (desirable)
