We are looking for an enthusiastic Principal Internal Auditor to provide support and deliver on Internal Audit objectives by providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services. Gain valuable Local Government experience. Apply now!
- $57.60 hourly rate + Super
- Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5:00pm)

A Day in The Life
Your day to day will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct complex financial, operational, and IT audits, from scoping to obtaining management remediation plans.
- Provide specialist advice on advisory projects.
- Perform data analysis, reporting, and insights delivery.
- Deliver high-quality reports to the CEO and Audit Committee
- Ensure timely follow-up on audit actions, overseeing completion and reporting to the Audit Committee.
- Ensure timely completion of audit actions.
- Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, and Council leaders.
- Contribute to developing audit techniques and mentoring staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Current "C" class driver's licence
- Degree in Commerce, Business or another relevant field.
- CA, CPA, CISA or equivalent membership status. Qualification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) would be highly regarded
- Experience within the field is highly regarded
