In this role you’ll be working within the western suburbs of Melbourne for one of Australia’s largest suppliers of steel. They boast a proud history of customer service, which started in the 1930s. From these roots they’ve built multiple distributions across Australia.Your new role
- Dealing with enquiries from existing and potential new customers
- Reviewing allocated accounts with external account managers or sales managers
- Negotiating payment terms with existing and potential customers
- Build knowledge of moving metal prices and market rates
- Communicating with inventory and operations
- Satisfy orders or enquiries within agreed timeframes
- Following up on quotes
- Entering customer orders into the CRM
- Placing purchase orders
- Maintaining professional and effective working relationships with internal and external customers
What you'll need to succeed
- Prior experience within Internal Sales (preferably with the steel industry or manufacturing or engineering-based companies)
- Great communication skills and ability to build good relationships
- Great telephone manner
- Flexibility to stay late if needed – Team Player
- CRM experience
