Form of workDepth Logistics is seeking an experienced International Freight Operations person to join our team at our Coolangatta corporate HQ. We act extensively in government supply chains and with RoRo and project cargo.
Specific duties will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to new and existing clients.
- Coordinating door to door shipping and transport of airfreight, containers, roll on/roll off and breakbulk cargo
- Liaising with overseas agents and suppliers
- Job registrations
- Creation of import and export documentation, including bills of lading, ERA’s, EDN’s, PRA’s, Forwarding Instructions
- Invoicing
- Shipment tracking
About you:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role at an International Freight forwarder and have a solid background in import and export Freight Operations, and Australian customs and quarantine requirements.
- Experience in handling roll on/roll off and breakbulk cargo, in particular heavy machinery and project cargo, would be a distinct advantage.
- Be ambitious, goal orientated with a friendly and professional disposition.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a solid commercial understanding.
- Keen sense of attention to detail and excellent relationship building skills.
- Formal freight forwarding industry qualifications are a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.

The base salary will be commensurate with experience and there is a performance linked quarterly bonus available for all team members.
A Defence Force background would be highly regarded but is not essential. You must however be able to achieve a defence NV1 security clearance if required to do so.
