Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd (CSD) was formed in 1967 shortly after the commencement of the Australian cotton industry for the purposes of promoting the development of agricultural resources. CSD’s core mantra continues to be the development and supply of quality cotton seed to Australian growers. A not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, CSD has grower and industry members and a Board of grower elected members plus independent appointed directors.
Through continuously investing in the research and development of new cotton seed varieties and developing agronomic tools and digital applications to support growers, CSD has partnerships with CSIRO under the Cotton Breeding Australia (a targeted research fund set up to facilitate the research and development of future cotton varieties for Australian growers) and other leading global companies and institutions to ensure Australian growers have timely access to the world’s best technologies. Their processing, R&D, farming, and head office facilities are based at Wee Waa in Northwest NSW. There is now an exciting opportunity to work as part of the team to deliver world leading solutions to Australian’s cotton industry.
The Role:
Reporting to Senior Production Manager, the Inventory and Dispatch Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the daily operational logistics function for the group. This will include inventory management, detailed tracking through invoice and ERP management - and relationship management with suppliers, agents and end-users.
With one direct report, the Inventory and Dispatch Manager will participate in the planning process for the key operational delivery period (which runs from April to October). Process review and supply chain enhancements will be developed and implemented during and outside of these fluctuating/seasonal workloads.
The Person:
To be considered for the role, candidates will possess:

• Experience in warehouse management, logistics and/or operations
• An ongoing commitment to standard operating procedures and safe work methods
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience working with ERP software
• Current driver’s and forklift license
• Office/word/excel and administration skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
