About the role
Mater Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Coordinator to join our Invasive Cardiovascular Unit (CVU/Cath Lab) team. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager of the CVU, this unique role will see you support the daily administrative operational requirements of the unit with a specific focus on operational efficiency. This position is a permanent and full-time position with the starting time between 6am-7am to ensure we are ready for our daily patient procedures.
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 (MCAS level 3) per hour superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
What you’ll be doing
Typical tasks of the role include;
- Support service and operational objectives
- Liaise with vendors, VMO’s and referral facilities
- Support administration of patient charts and other clinical documentation
- Purchasing
- Inventory control
- Scheduling of maintenance work
- Action requests for patient information
- Review and correct basic data quality issues
- Filing and record management
- Organisation and management of the units inventory including consignment and loan stock
- Conduct periodic audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records and identify the discrepancies
- Address issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods and other inventory related problems
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs while maintaining service levels
- Support recruitment and orientation of new team members
About you
We are searching for someone who is/has:
- Proven experience working in a team within the Medical/Healthcare profession
- Experience working in Inventory Control/stock management
- The ability to balance conflicting demands within tight time frames
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in times of change
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously
- Deliver a patient centric approach and have a passion for delivering an exceptional experience
- Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Have a naturally inquisitive nature and drive to understand processes and systems
- Display strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information to identify problems
- Previous experience with D365 is highly desirable
- Availability to start between the hours 6am-7am Mon-Fri
