We are now seeking a self-motivated Full-time Inventory Controller who has a passion for continuous improvement to enhance the inventory accuracy of our business.
THE ROLE
To be successful in this role you should be well organised and understand the order fulfillment cycle and provide operational and administrative support to ensure all raw materials are available for production.
Working closely with the Planner you will assist the Planner and Supply Chain team with the daily finished goods to warehouse transaction accuracy and facilitate timely resolution of issues such as low supply of goods that could impact meeting operational requirements.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – Preston site, you will additionally perform inventory controls and maintain quality standards in line with ISO accreditation for audit purposes along with supporting cross functional teams and suppliers to provide and receive information, and provide responsive support and communication as required.
A results-oriented person you will also be responsible for (but not limited to), the following tasks:
- Management of material call off process
- CHEP pallet management
- Manage deliveries of raw materials against production schedule and operational requirements for goods such as dies/pigments, labels and chemicals etc. including loading and unloading.
- Receipting and checking all deliveries, cross checking quantities against orders, delivery dockets, invoices and report any discrepancies .
- Track supplier production schedules ensuring key critical store delivery needs are met
- Data entry and scanning of goods into BPICS/Oracle.
- Support delivery management process including daily communication and trouble shooting.
- Receive and process products and goods (pick, unload, label, store)
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
You will also have the opportunity to develop and drive improved practices to achieve cost downs in this increasingly competitive industry. Your ability to provide resources, tools and materials in a timely manner to support the requirements of both the Sales and Operation department will be a key strength and involve a skill set including:-
- Advanced knowledge of excel skills
- Strong disciplines related to supply agreements with complex engineered products and warehouse management
- Experience with import/export freight and dealing with Freight Forwarders.
- Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
- Strongly outcome oriented and self-motivated.
- Proven leadership skills.
The ideal candidate will have either an appropriate qualification in Supply Chain discipline and/or have gained their experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
