Safeman Australia is a long-established and respected privately owned business, operating out of Campbellfield Melbourne. We supply workwear and PPE to major builders and contractors around the country.
We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing/Inventory Controller to join our Procurement team.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and processing purchase requisitions
- Generating and issuing purchase orders
- Sourcing goods
- Maintaining supplier pricing
- Managing high volume orders effectively and efficiently and investigate alternatives as required
- Expediting purchase orders and reviewing delivery performance
- Reporting non-conforming products/services
- Providing excellent internal client service and ensure procurement is managed in a consultable and constructive manner
To be successful you will have:
- Proven purchasing experience within a high volume supply chain
- Sound understanding of ERP systems, NetSuite experience is favourable
- WMS experience
- Industrial/safety experience is desirable
- Strong communication and customer service focused
- Ability to effectively deal with high pressure environments and tight deadlines
- Intermediate MS Excel Skills
- Team orientated
