About the role
As an Inventory Controller, you will be an essential member of our Commercial team. Reporting to the Procurement Superintendent, your role will involve more than just managing inventory. You will be an important part of a collaborative team, working alongside our Procurement, Maintenance and Production teams.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Material Requirement Planning and Inventory Control for Spares & Repairable Materials
- Monitoring consumption and adjusting replenishment plans accordingly
- Establishing and managing inventory controls to optimise stock levels and critical spares
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to maximise their inventory requirements and availability
- Drive inventory reduction opportunities
- Ensure material master data accuracy
- Work with our purchasing team to enhance stock availability and cost reduction
- Being prepared to handle any other duties that come your way
We are seeking a candidate who possesses excellent people skills, solid experience in Inventory optimisation, exceptional organisational abilities, a strong attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. Here are the requirements for the job:
You should have prior experience working in a similar Inventory focused position.
- You possess exceptional analytical skills with proven ability to model, analyse and summarise data.
- Ideally, you have Tertiary qualifications in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, able to prioritise competing demands
- High level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint) & SAP
- You have demonstrated the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- If you possess a Forklift License and excellent Microsoft Office skills, that would be an added advantage
