SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Ensures that maintenance parts inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel. Maintains controls and inventory levels for maintenance parts. Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing inventory is correct. Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and maintenance requirements. Initiates and conducts computer transaction entries and manages transactions to maintain inventory records. Performs stocking and issuing of parts within the storeroom area to maintenance personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow all site Safety and Security Procedures; perform all assignments and tasks in a safe manner.
- Report any unsafe or potentially unsafe working conditions to management immediately.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
- Receive purchased material and checking PO against packing slip for accuracy; enter receiving and inventory information into the designated inventory systems (could be 3rd party systems).
- Properly store incoming material after receipt.
- Issue returns for unused material per SOP guidelines
- Return material to vendor or shipping parts out for repair, following SOP guidelines.
- Perform cycle counts and report stock balance discrepancies to Manager for resolution.
- Take inventory to identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.
- Issue materials as required.
- Locate stock and delivers items to their destination outside of storeroom upon request.
- Maintain close communication with supervisor regarding all customer issues and concerns.
- Provide professional customer service to internal and external customers to include escorting.
- Clean and organize storeroom as directed, including sweeping, scraping, etc.
- Comply with cGMP requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED.
Experience:
1-3 years inventory management experience. General knowledge of maintenance parts and tools.
Experience using Inventory Control systems or other data based computer system
