Job description

Our client
Our client, a Certified B Corp, grows, produces and markets 100% pure Australian essential oils and botanicals to wholesale customers worldwide. From their own farms in Northern NSW and across Australia, their globally award winning, sustainable and traceable essential oils and botanicals are used by boutique and mass-market cosmetic, personal care and home care manufacturers world-wide. For the past three years our client has attained EcoVadis Platinum Status for their Sustainability Program – this puts them in the top 1% of >100,000 global sustainable businesses audited by EcoVadis annually.

In short, they are a genuine Australian success story, any way you wish to measure it. And now you can be part of it!

The role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your primary responsibilities will include inventory forecasting and maintaining appropriate stock levels at two warehouses (one in Northern NSW and one in the United States) and ensuring customer orders are filled correctly and on time. Engaging with vendors (growers) forms an equally important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Short-, medium- and long-term forecasting to maintain appropriate levels of stock and ensure required stock is secured from vendors
  • Raise purchase orders with vendors ensuring good relationships are maintained with them at all times
  • Arrange intercompany stock transfer (including inventory shipments to US warehouse)
  • Process sales orders (in liaison with sales team) and invoice customers
  • Prepare light manufacturing work orders and packing slips for warehouse managers to fill customer orders
  • Co-ordinate monthly inventory audits, prepare monthly stock expiry reports and participate in month-end activities
  • ERP record maintenance
  • Bi-annual vendor price update
  • Drive process improvement
About You
You will already have inventory management experience and have ideally worked for a wholesaler or a light manufacturing or export company. And, apart from having a ‘can do’ attitude and good attention to detail, you will be a good problem solver, will take initiative and work independently; and will have strong people, communication, customer service and organisational skills! To be considered for an interview you will also need to demonstrate:
  • 5 years’ inventory management / order fulfilment experience
  • Experience with ERP, MRP and CRM systems (NetSuite ideal)
  • Experience with Inventory Management software (software inventory forecasting experience highly regarded)
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with vendors, customers and all members of the business
  • Permanent Australian residency or citizenship
Why work for our client?
Apart from being part of a company that is at the forefront of everything that demonstrates a commitment to environmental sustainability, truth in advertising, genuine diversity and equality practices, and a certified commitment to balancing profitability, purpose and people, there are some other great reasons to join this team.
  • Motivated, friendly and hard-working co-workers
  • A leadership team that does what it says it will do
  • Reasonable and flexible working hours, including a formal work-from-home policy (after an initial 6 weeks in the office)
  • Annual performance, Learning & Development, and salary reviews
  • Funky Darlinghurst warehouse office – with a friendly and much-loved office dog
How to apply
Apply here by submitting your resume and a covering letter summarising your experience and outlining why you are interested in the role. Applications that include a cover letter will be prioritised.
