Company Background
This leading NZ organisation continues to grow in the energy sector in a market where others are declining. It has experienced considerable growth and employs over 100 staff. To ensure work life balance they offer hybrid working arrangements.
Due to continued success a newly created role has arisen to support the CFO as the Management Accountant and be the subject matter expert with Business Central.
The Role
This is a broad role offering appealing variety in both financial and management accounting. Your responsibilities as Financial / Management Accountant will initially involve holistic oversight of a large key venue, covering (not limited to):
- Delivery of monthly project reporting
- Management of business analytics
- Preparation of annual budget
- Preparation of forecasts
- Support for business projects
- Develop, implement & maintain job/project system
- Deliver optimal financial outcomes
- Develop an analytics dashboard reporting (Bus Central System).
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, working as a finance business partner
As you master your remit, your role will evolve to take on additional responsibilities across the wider group and see you more highly involved.
Your Background
3-5 years of relevant commercial & technical experience in management or similar accounting roles.
Strong IT skills essential including advanced Excel and experience with finance system reporting.
Previous experience with analytic applications such as Power BI an advantage.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships
