We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Inventory Manager / Bookkeeper to join our manufacturing unit based on the Gold Coast. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing all aspects of inventory control, import-export operations, shipment paperwork, order placement, and spare parts management. This role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience who can efficiently align our inventory management processes with the dynamic needs of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels, stock locations, and logistics to ensure optimal stock levels and space utilization.
- Import-Export Coordination: Handle all import and export documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with Australian and international regulations.
- Shipment Management: Manage the preparation of shipping documents, track shipments, and coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Order Processing: Place orders for raw materials and spare parts, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain relationships to ensure the best pricing and terms.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and transactions. Prepare financial reports related to inventory for the management team.
- Spare Parts Management: Develop and implement a system for managing spare parts, including procurement, storage, and distribution.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of incoming and stored goods, addressing any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in inventory management or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
- Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of import-export regulations and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data management and financial reporting.
- Personal Qualities: Proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
