Inventory Support Officer

Pursehouse Rural is a leading independent Agribusiness specialising in agricultural produce, equipment, services and advice across 19 locations in North West NSW and Queensland.
We are seeking an Inventory Support Officer to join our team in Gunnedah or Tamworth.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support in relation to the use and management of the Company’s inventory control system and related processes. The role will require someone with the availability to travel on a semi-regular basis to branches in regional NSW and QLD.
Duties include:
- Provide a high standard of customer service and advice to branch employees with inventory responsibilities.
- Assist with Branch and Company stocktake schedules by providing training and additional resources as required.
- Assist with the data cleansing and maintenance of inventory records.
- Ensure all variances (both price and stock) are investigated and process improvements are put in place to manage margins and reduce discrepancies.
- Monitor and provide timely feedback to stakeholders on changes to supplier and retail prices.
- Ensure the Company’s inventory master files are accurate, up-to-date, and maintained to a high standard.
- Participate in inventory projects to enhance inventory processes across the business and improve the customer experience within branches.
- Provide occasional support as a frontline Merchandise Sales employee within branches during periods of leave or peak workloads.
- Participate in and facilitate the delivery of broader industry-based training and product related training
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control procedures and systems, and prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an agricultural retail business.
- Ability to clearly communicate and influence key stakeholders through the effective use of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, time management and project management skills.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience with Pronto Inventory Systems is highly desirable.
