How will I help?
This role sits within the Group Investigations, Enterprise Compliance, Risk Team and reports into the Head of Group Investigations.
As a Manager within Investigation Governance, you will work with the Senior Manager Investigation Governance and the broader Investigation Team to ensure high quality standards on internal investigations and adherence to legislative requirements. The role will also involve delivering continuous improvements through quality assurance reviews, conducting tactical investigation reviews and the co-ordination of training to the team.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Monthly reviews of investigations to ensure investigations are conducted and documented in line with the Groups requirements.
- Embed best practice investigation controls, documentation, and delivery.
- Participate in Investigation CSA's and identify control deficiencies (including through testing) in all GI investigations.
- Actively escalate and remediate investigation control gaps and support resolution and process design to ensure gaps are addressed and risks mitigated.
- Analyse data captured in the Whistleblower communication application and the Case Management System to ensure it meets the Quality Assurance requirements.
- Distil underlying thematic root causes of investigation methodology weaknesses.
- Provide insights, drive resolution efforts, and proactively scan for continuous process improvements.
- Implement in collaboration with Senior Manager Investigation Governance, RAS metrics and ensure metrics remain within appetite.
- Manage risk as it pertains to inadequate change management or inaccurate reporting processes.
What do I need?
- 5+ years of experience in investigations.
- Knowledge of Whistleblower Legislation, ABC/AML/CTF Obligations and the Privacy Act.
- Qualification in Financial Crime or Investigations.
- Demonstrated analytical experience, skills and techniques.
- Demonstrated experience managing Quality Assurance and driving change through constructive review of QA results.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, liaising with all levels of the Business and our customers.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office - must be proficient in the use of Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Lists, SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Sound experience in data analysis and proficient in business writing.
