About the opportunityThe Senior Executive Governance Specialist is responsible for providing high-level governance and administrative services to the University Executive and relevant Standing Committees and Working Groups of this body. The incumbent is accountable for supporting the successful operation of the University Executive, which includes providing strategic support and advice to Senior Executives and providing operational and project management and administrative support.Your key responsibilities will be to:

• provide strategic guidance and expert advice to the Vice-Chancellor and University Executive to enable best-practice governance models, committee support, and delivery of strategic objectives
• manage and prepare agendas for meetings of the University Executive and its Standing Committees and Working Groups
• develop and implement strategies and plans designed to meet the information requirements and needs of key internal stakeholders at the University
• undertake research of issues and provide high-level advice and briefing materials and information on significant matters with respect to governance issues
• support the effective running of the University Executive and its Committees through the establishment of systems and processes that facilitate the management of high-volume enquiries and communications.

About you

• extensive experience in servicing senior committees
• demonstrated ability to research, interpret, draft, implement, analyse and provide advice on complex legislation, policies and procedures
• proven record of organisational decision-making ability, together with strong analytical skills, high-level accuracy and attention to detail
• exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• excellent time and workload management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve required outcomes.
