What you’ll do
• Responsible for developing and maintaining data and analytics supporting the Australian Multi-Asset teams investment process. This includes, but is not limited to, valuation models, cyclical analysis, liquidity indicators as well as maintaining and running the portfolio optimiser.
• Primary responsibility for the production and maintenance of the Investment Strategy and the Multi-Asset Portfolio Construction Group (PCG) packs.
• Pro-actively and reactively develop modelling and research to improve decision making collateral.
• As part of the Multi-Asset team, contribute to investment decisions the provision of research and active participation in team discussions.
• Reviewing current systems and processes (such as economic models, spreadsheets, existing software etc.) to identify areas of improvement and be involved in reengineering projects when they occur.
• General support for the Multi Asset team locally
• Contribute to the Regional and Global Multi-Asset teams through participation in relevant SIGMA groups and other projects
• ESG / sustainability research
• Work collaboratively with the Australian investment desks (Australian equities, fixed income and private debt) in producing research and participating in collaborative investment desk forums (e.g. Investment Meeting and the Strategic Investment Conference (SIC).)
• Support the ongoing development of the Australian Multi-Asset business by helping the product, marketing and client group in developing collateral, presenting to researchers, consultants, clients and relevant internal stakeholders as required).

The knowledge, experience & qualifications you need
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business/Finance, Mathematics/Engineering
• 1-5 years’ experience in a research analyst capacity or similar
• Has strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Proficiency in excel and other similar analytics tools
• Familiarity with a range of different investment areas
• Qualifications and experience developing software in the following languages: (desirable)
• Microsoft Office
• Python
• Refinitv / Datastream
• Bloomberg Aladdin an advantage
• VBA
• Power BI
