About the role:
The Asset Investment Business Unit is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage the Investment Evaluation team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Asset Investment, you will manage a well-respected team and be responsible for the financial and economic evaluation of proposed capital and operating investments, and for providing commercial input on major new and existing business opportunities.
This role leads a team of Analysts and supports the business in the analysis of the commercial aspects of major business initiatives, such as PPPs, Special Agreements, changes to the business model and other major transactions.
What the role will involve:
· Provide appropriate financial evaluation and commercial consultancy advice to internal clients.
· Undertake financial modelling and business case assessments for major new and existing business opportunities.
· Discuss and assess the reasonableness of assumptions used in financial evaluation models.
· Lead, engage and support all team members and foster a spirit of teamwork and unity
Key skills and experience:
You will have a degree in commerce, economics or a relevant financial or business discipline, and experience in financial modelling, project evaluation and/or business case assessments.
This is an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to exercise judgement and discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and senior management, and the effectiveness of your oral and written communication, especially in transferring knowledge of complex technical concepts and issues.
You will need effective interpersonal and relationship management skills, and experience in managing, leading, developing and influencing others.
