AddressPlatinum Pacific Partners is working with a Northern Rivers private investment group whose focus is twofold: to demonstrate that capitalism can make a positive difference in the world and to invest-in and develop their people to attain their highest aspirations. They are conscious investors, aware of their privileged position and obligation to operate sustainably and give back to the community.
They manage a portfolio of direct investments in early-stage operating businesses, primarily focused on the Health & Wellness sector as well as a selection of managed funds. When sourcing direct investments, they take meaningful stakes, Board seats and ultimately play an active role in the operations of their portfolio companies.
Your role will include two key components:
- Taking the lead on managing this portfolio of existing businesses, including managing relationships with the businesses up to and including the CEO.
- Overseeing a pool of managed funds designed to generate a stable market return whilst also providing liquidity for the direct investment portfolio where required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn directly from highly successful entrepreneurs and management teams in their broader network. The role is highly independent, and you will be expected to proactively manage the portfolio and operations relatively autonomously. You will form a critical part of the team which develops investment strategies, manages portfolio exposure, assesses risk and monitors performance.
You will likely bring 5-10 years of prior experience. This may have been gained in M&A, corporate development or investment. Yor role will have been transactional in nature and any buyside experience will be a plus.
