Job Description:
DXC Technology is looking for an experienced IT Engineer seeking to further their career in IT. You will gain extensive on-the-job experience working in a fast-paced customer environment to deliver modern troubleshooting solutions. We are looking for someone with strong technical ability, customer service experience and a can-do attitude to join our support team. Our client is based in Newcastle.
What you will be doing:
- Providing technical support in a Service Desk environment, delivering on-the-spot solutions for customers
- Handle Customer-relation problems promptly and appropriately both on the phone and in-person, using independent troubleshooting and following established procedures.
- Answering phone calls and resolving issues with a high level of efficiency, meeting SLAs set by the client
- Managing a ticket queue and prioritising workload
- Working closely with/escalating issues to external vendors
- Stock management including peripheral devices
- Refresh of old devices swapped with new devices on site.
- Responsibilities include User Account Management, Desktop troubleshooting, Hardware management, remote support, Mobile Device Management

Preferred Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years working experience supporting customers’ PC environments with an interest in learning more
- Relevant Vocation/ Diploma/ Associate Degree or relevant work experience is preferred
