About the Role

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to join and lead our growing IT team at Ahrens! The role is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing all IT infrastructure, cloud, networks, telephony, and security systems. You will lead a small team of IT support staff (including the Help Desk) and provide hands-on support of IT infrastructure utilising your strong system administration skills.

This role is based between our Adelaide and Kingsford, SA offices depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the organisation's IT infrastructure, including cloud, server, desktop, communications, and security systems.
  • Support, configure, and maintain all IT infrastructure, networks, and security systems.
  • Managing the IT Help Desk and team, to provide effective and timely resolution of requests and incidents and assisting when required.
  • Design cost-effective technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide day to day technical support for the Group’s IT infrastructure, networks, and security systems including:
    • Troubleshoot issues and outages.
    • Planning and implementing maintenance activities.
    • Provisioning, replacing, and maintaining all IT infrastructure, networks, and security systems.
    • Monitoring and reporting on key metrics including performance, capacity, availability, and incidents.
       
  • Design, implement, maintain, and test data backup and recovery processes and procedures.
  • Foster innovation by exploring emerging technologies and approaches that will enable improved resilience, lower cost, and/or better performance of key systems and networks.
  • Developing and implementing appropriate cyber security controls, processes and procedures that are aligned with the Group’s risk management and cyber resilience objectives.
  • Lead and deliver IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, replacements, and expansion of systems and networks.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate levels of documentation for systems, processes, and procedures that are relevant to the role.

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience as a Systems Administrator within a medium/large sized organisation;
  • Significant experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including Office 365;
  • Significant experience with managing both physical and virtual server environments;
  • Experience leading and managing small teams of technical staff;
  • Experience with backup and recovery software and methodologies;
  • Experience with network management and administration;
  • Experience with firewalls and Virtual Private Network clients and servers;
  • Experience with endpoint protection systems, email protection systems;
  • Some experience supporting and managing databases;
  • Knowledge of best practices relating to managing and monitoring server infrastructure;
  • Excellent time management, organising, and prioritisation skills;
  • Excellent communication skills; &
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and manage relevant external service providers.
