We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Project Manager (IT Infrastructure) to join our clients IT team. If you are a strategic leader with a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT infrastructure projects, and are on the lookout for a large-scale program, please keep reading!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of large-scale IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Manage and mentor a cross functional team of Project Managers, engineers, and technical specialists.
- Develop and execute project plans, considering timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary constraints.
- Provide strategic input to align IT infrastructure projects with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Proactively address challenges and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring effective utilisation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure that IT infrastructure projects meet high-quality standards and comply with industry best practices.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
- Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and infrastructure components.
- Ensure seamless interoperability between existing and new systems.
Experience:
- PMP or Prince2 certification preferred, but not essential.
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager overseeing complex IT infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards successful project outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Solid understanding of budget management and financial reporting.
- Willingness to travel monthly for stakeholder engagement purposes.
