A supportive and prominent Federal Government Department is looking to engage an experienced Assistant System Administrator (LIMS) to be responsible for the development of system and training documentation for the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The successful Assistant System Administrator (LIMS) will secure a 12 month contract with the option to extend for a further 12 months aligned with a rewarding hourly rate.
The successful Assistant System Administrator (LIMS) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Development of system and training documentation for the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Support the Project Manager and LIMS Administrator by working with laboratory and operational members to understand end-to-end process workflows, drive process re-engineering initiatives and facilitate software showcase sessions to Subject Matter Experts.
- Design and implement system specifications, user documentation and training manuals.
- Perform server administrator tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
The successful Assistant System Administrator (LIMS) will have experience in the following:
- Strong interpersonal skills to create and foster cooperative and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with a flexible approach to support any aspect of the laboratory operations or assurance functions
- A degree or diploma in a relevant science field from an Australian tertiary institution or comparable overseas qualification.
