As part of the IT Operations and Support Team, the IT Operations and Support Analyst performs various functions, including providing support needed for effective and efficient day-to-day IT operations of core business applications.
As part of the team, you will work across IT providing contemporary operational capabilities ensuring that IT meets its obligations for a resilient environment. You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of MHG’s networks, systems, and applications by supporting, configuring, and maintaining the operational standards and procedures to best practice to ensure maximum business operation uptime and efficiency.
There will be a requirement to have a good understanding over time of the MHG environment, systems owners, and service requirements.

Job Description
- Identify operational requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of key operational processes including backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery
- Design, build and Support an operating model that positions MedHealth to confidently face a dynamic future utilising new technology and best practice processes.
- Gather information by analysing how MHG systems interact, process workflows and business service requirements to ensure that MHG’s IT environment is fit for purpose.
- Develop key metrics to measure success through operational data and information.
- Research and make recommendations on software products and services, conduct feasibility studies for software and systems products planned for purchase and give suggestions based on findings.
- Cover a broad range of activities including application support, capacity planning, storage/backup, disaster recovery and IT asset management.
- Identify emerging and current operational risks ensuring that there is an effective approach in place to manage risks.
- Analyse and provide solution to system issues to improve stability and prevent incidents.
- Work with vendors by building and maintaining a strong working relationship with key partners to improve service and put in place appropriate remediation to remediate issues.
- Responsible for the definition, design, implementation, and maintenance of support capabilities for infrastructure and applications across MHG.
- Identify incident trends; recommend and implement improvements to proactively prevent and reduce incidents.
- Respond to incidents within the MHG environment as part of the Incident process.
- Support effective change management practices.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for the daily maintenance of applications and underlying systems
- Put in place automation of the operating procedures and monitoring capabilities.
- Identify new solutions for improved processes, as well as develop cost/benefit analysis for business solutions
- Make certain that technology solutions adhere to quality standards and ITIL processes.
- Collaborate with the project teams to review or inspect work to guarantee their quality.
- Via a continuous improvement mindset ensure processes are agreed and documented, actions out of post incident reviews are implemented and proactive actions are undertaken to prevent incidents.
- Review and evolve practices to ensure that they are fit for purpose and providing the best outcomes.
- Ensure that all systems are risk managed and align with the architectural strategy and meet cybersecurity requirements.
- Function as an effective, positive team member
- Maintain active knowledge of work health and safety practices and procedures
- Adhere to all policy and procedures
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required
- Undertake project work as determined by the business
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant Business Technology qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in delivering operational services with success in delivery in a cloud environment.
- Extensive knowledge of key operational technologies and processes such as proactive monitoring, capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery.
- Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team, ideally gained in an industry where there is a high customer appreciation and focus.
- Strong operational experience in a dynamic, fast growth organisation.
- Appropriate degree and/or industry qualifications and certifications.
- Extensive experience in managing the Microsoft technology stack.
- Knowledge of public cloud technology particularly Azure is highly regarded.
- Prior health sector experience but not essential.
