The Job…..
Reporting through to the Line Manager, in this position you will be responsible for:
Providing procurement knowledge and delivering end user environment procurement practices and procedures that support the operational and business requirements of the department.
Conducting sourcing activities in line with business unit policies and procedures to meet departmental needs.
Participating in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
Validating stakeholder business needs, compiling market information, analysing markets and assessing risks to make informed procurement planning and strategic sourcing decisions.
Implementing contract management plans, resolve issues and negotiate contract variations by building effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.
Providing specialist advice and guidance on procurement matters to agency staff.
Identifying, mitigating and escalating risks to meet organisational obligations and increase business opportunities.
Managing the Asset Management System, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Updating procurement records and generating reports on procurement and contract activities in line with business unit compliance requirements.

To be successful in this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas & possess the below personal qualities:
Minimum 12 months of experience in a Procurement position.
Experience working within the IT or Government sectors would be highly advantageous.
Ability to confidently work across multiple systems and databases.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisation skills and ability to stay focused in a high-volume environment.
