The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has the public responsibility for managing one of the largest and the most successful stadiums in Australia and the world - the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The MCG is more than just a stadium, it's an Australian icon and a meeting place for generations past, present and future.  The MCG is host to more than 70 major events and attracts over three million visitors annually.

The IT & Innovation department is responsible for the delivery and management of information and communications technology (ICT), digital and broadcasting systems and network security, as well as operational integrity of technology.

Due to an internal promotion, a great permanent opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Administrator in the Network & Security team with in this department. Reporting to the Network & Security Lead, the main responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Maintain, manage and support effective and efficient operations of all aspects of Servers administration, infrastructure (both hardware and software) relating to Windows, POS, CCTV, Access Control including patching related infrastructure;
  • Adhere & maintain information security standards, compliance and governance needs within the Business;
  • Provide the highest level of customer service by providing a reliable, proactive and professional manner in all dealings related to the role of IT Systems Support Administrator;
  • Adhere and support all aspects relating to ISO 27001 compliance and governance requirements for the business;
  • Be solutions oriented, manage and provide support to projects, provide service desk support including MCG events;
  • Provide Event day support on a rostered basis; and
  • Provide afterhours support as required via email and or phone

To be successful in this role the core requirements & experience you will need to have is:

  • A recognised tertiary qualifications in IT specific industry or relevant industry experience;
  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role;
  • Hands on experience with:
    • Microsoft Server Technologies (preferably Server2016/2019)
    • Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems (preferably Windows 10) and MS Office Applications (from Office 2013 and above);
  • Strong focus on customer service with excellent phone manners and interpersonal skills;
  • Good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP protocols and IT hardware;
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills

Other hands on experience that would be beneficial are working in:

  • an enterprise POS systems
  • any imaging platform such as SCCM
  • a VMWare platform
  • an enterprise CCTV systems
