Your new role
- Engage and collaborate with end-users and customers in providing a great experience meeting or exceeding customer expectations, managing complaints and service support issues.
- Manage and fulfil service requests relating to procurement and provisioning of information technology peripheral devices and access to business and desktop applications.
- Manage and resolve incidents relating to the use of IT services promptly to minimise the impact on staff and business.
- Escalate service requests and incidents to the appropriate internal and external IT specialists as per IT procedures.
- Record, maintain and create information related to the operation and quality of IT services, particularly concerning availability, security, continuity, integrity, and confidentiality of data and services.
- Identify and document reoccurring issues and suggest improvements to IT services.
- Solid understanding of IT in an organisational context, including experience in hardware, network, and software applications, such as Microsoft Office365, Active Directory, internet applications.
- Knowledge and experience in service management practices, such as ITIL.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary Qualification with little experience, alternately no Degree or Diploma but with less formal qualifications with relevant work experience in Information Technology service delivery.
- Ability to display an understanding of the relationship between different technology components such as networking, applications and hosting.
- Understands user account management within Microsoft Active Directory.
- Must have a thorough understanding of incident management and request fulfilment processes.
- Ability to demonstrate a friendly attitude when dealing with customers.
- Preferably exposure to service management tools such as Jira Service Desk or similar functionality
