Job Title: IT Systems and DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a semi-remoteIT Systems and DevOps Engineer to support the daily operations of our team in Brisbane, in addition to assisting in the development of our in-house software.
This is a full-time position where you will be expected to be in the office at least two days per week to lead infrastructure and software installations and provide IT support to staff.
Remote hours will be available for the remainder of your time, which will include administration of company Systems and assisting our remote team with DevOps, testing and software development.
It is expected that assisting with software development will represent at least half of your work hours, and all candidates must have some programming experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with System Administration: Collaborate with management to administer and maintain company systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely.
2. Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Proactively identify and address potential issues to minimize downtime.
3. IT Support: Provide technical support and assistance to staff members, resolving regular IT issues promptly and effectively. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize disruptions to workflow.
4. Installation and Setups: Lead the installation and setup of IT Systems and applications as required, ensuring seamless deployment and integration with existing infrastructure. This may involve coordinating with various teams and vendors.
5. DevOps and SysOps Management: Assist in managing our cloud-based solutions, Linux Virtual Machines, databases and replication, Git, Docker, CI/CD and automated workflows.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft environments (Windows, Exchange, Entra), VoIP systems (3CX), Amazon architecture (SES, Lambda, Eventbridge, EC2).
6. Software Engineering: We have a modern software stack for our projects, with technologies including .NET 8, Postgres, Entity Framework, Typescript and React. You will be expected to be familiar with the above, and understand object-oriented concepts, dependency injection, integration testing and ORM usage.
Beneficial Traits:
• Proven prior experience and/or qualifications: A degree in Computer Science (or similar) would be highly beneficial but can be substituted for proven experience and/or demonstratable skills.
• The ability to travel: We may require candidates to occasionally travel to our other offices for short periods of time.
