Lane Communications is a South Australian based market leader in the provision of print and mail house services. With over 50 years’ of experience and a national customer base, Lane Communications continues to strive for higher levels of customer service through the provision of innovative communication solutions. To assist in achieving this goal, Lane Communications is seeking to appoint an IT Team Leader in its Innovative Technology Centre.
Essential criteria:
- IT leadership
- Solid experience with strategic planning and new product development
- Experience in project management and software development methodologies
- Experience managing IT teams
- Solid understating of cyber security principals and best practices
- Strong communication skills (internal and external customers)
- Experience in IT infrastructure management
- Windows server administration (Active Directory, Group policy Management, IIS & Hyper-V)
- Facilitate software procurement for the business including obtaining quotes from software vendors
- C# .NET/C++ software development (minimum 5+ years’ experience)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of file manipulation
- Relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB & SQL Server)
- Data transfer and communications (FTP & SFTP)
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools
Desirable criteria:
- Windows PowerShell & Batch scripting
- Web development experience covering REST API’s, Razor pages, .NET Core, MVC, Ajax, JavaScript, Angular, NodeJS, or ReactJS.
- Unit and Integration testing
- Azure DevOps
- Containerization technologies (Docker or Kubernetes)
While tertiary qualifications in Computer Science (or related disciplines) are not essential, you will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of IT leadership and software development.
The position involves client liaison and problem solving to achieve tight deadlines. Excellent project management, communication, enthusiasm and creativity are essential along with an ability to work in a team environment.
The position involves a combination of hands-on development and management, with the freedom to help evolve the strategic direction of products and services. A proven track record of achieving goals under minimal supervision and an ongoing desire to develop new skills are essential.
