Job description

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal is currently seeking applications for an Application Support Team Leader, to join the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) . This position can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth. 

Remuneration: The annual salary for the position is APS6 $90,199 to $102,499 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.

This position will be non-ongoing for 12 months with the possibility of extension to ongoing.

About the opportunity:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director Application Delivery, the Application Support Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Application Support team, including staff management and ensuring effective and timely support to the business across case management systems and related services.

The Team Leader ensures system users are supported in line with relevant frameworks and contributes to broader ETG and AAT priorities as required, such as the Case Management Solution Program.

About you:

To be successful you will require:

  • Develop, maintain and test incident management procedures in agreement with service owners.
  • Encourage individual development of skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals. Facilitate the development of individuals by adjusting workload, targets, and team capacity.  
  • Investigate escalated, non-routine and high-impact incidents to responsible service owners and seek resolution.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases. Implements scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks
  • Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues and risks, including the work of others.
  • Implement a stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management.

Mandatory:

  • Academic or Vocational certification in Technology and/or relevant industry experience

Desirable:

  • Vocational certification or experience in modern software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, XP, SAFe.

Position Eligibility Requirements:

The AAT requires Australian citizenship as a condition of engagement.

All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and health assessment.
