Groves is currently seeking an IT Technician to join our IT team as an additional staff member. Reporting to the IT Manager, this staff member will support the 1:1 laptop provisions in the Primary and Secondary School and contribute to the IT services across the College. Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the scope of the CCM Enterprise Agreement. They will assist in areas of:
Laptop support
- Provide initial support where practical as the first contact in error reporting
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for College laptop fleet
- Ensure electrical safety standards are met
- Perform minor repairs or replacements of hardware
- Refer complex trouble-shooting to colleagues within IT Team
Wider workplace contribution
- Contribute to Helpdesk ticket servicing system and phone support
- Contribute to technical documentation within the IT team
- Form positive relationships with colleagues across the College
- Report concerns for IT security or service provisions to management
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and interact effectively at all levels of a school community
- Solutions-oriented and systems-capable person, with a desire to contribute towards streamlining and improvements
- Strong organisational and time-management skills within a task-focused field
- Network switching knowledge and experience would be highly regarded.
- Good English language skills
