About the role
We are looking for an experienced ITSM Specialist to assist our Defence client on a large long term contract to start in a few months. You must have NV1 clearance and be able to work onsite in Canberra.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Agreeing and controlling the ITSM architecture
- Determining the ITSM environments
- Advising on and coordinating each team's ITSM activities
- Identifying and owning architectural and other ITSM based risks
- Advising on the achievability of non-functional requirements
- Working with the Business Analyst to evaluate the ITSM options and decide the best way to turn the high-level business requirements into an ITSM solution
- Advising on and coordinating each team's approach to estimating, to reflect ITSM best practice and current technical understanding
- Promoting appropriate standards of technical best practice
- Controlling the ITSM configuration of the solution
- Approving the solution as fit for purpose prior to deployment
- Managing ITSM aspects of the transition of the solution into live use
- Empowering the ITSM roles within the Service Support Team to appropriate levels within their responsibilities
- Acting as the final arbiter of ITSM differences between ITSM Support Team members.
Requirements:
- Skill level equivalent to SFIA Level 5- Service Level Management.
- NV1 minimum security clearance essential.
- Expert knowledge of ITIL with Practitioner certification
- 2+ years experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong background in project delivery.
- IT Background with experience or understanding in ISO 27001.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of the Defence environment.
- Effective planning and time management skills.
- Ability to conduct research and rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
- Current AGSVA Security Clearance NV1 or the ability and willingness to obtain NV1.
- Domestic / International Travel may be required.
