We are currently looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to join the BGL Ecosystem Team, with a passion for learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration. This role is based in our Melbourne office with hybrid working options.
About the team
The team you are going to work in is very supportive and emphasises communications and design as a team. You not only write code, you will also influence how the UI should look like and how the feature should be designed. If this sounds exciting to you then come and join the team.
About the role:
- Work closely with fellow team members and continuously deliver high quality, well automated tested codes/features to our valued customers, utilising technologies such as java, react and other languages/tools
- Identifying and resolving software defects through effective troubleshooting methods.
- Participate in planning meetings to help drive the direction of the product
About you:
With proven time management and problem-solving skills, you’ll bring a solid grounding in front and back-end technologies. Ideally, you will need to have:
- At least 3+ years of full stack development experience in Java or a similar programming language, preferably with Spring and React
- Experience with the following technologies: React, Typescript, HTML/CSS, MySql, ORM (Hibernate or JOOQ), Spring MVC, Spring Security, Java, Groovy, Kotlin
- Familiar with TDD, Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches/tools
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes
- A strong and creative communicator as well as a team player
- Take pride in writing clean code (easy to understand, maintain and change) and having simple solutions to complex problems
- A creative thinker and you are joyful to solve business problems with simple solutions
- Like knowledge sharing
