Join the Starters, Transfers and Leavers (STL) team within our wider Enterprise Technology function, which is undergoing an extensive program of uplift.

What role will you play?
As a Java Developer, you will be gaining exposure to strategic initiatives including New Application Development and Big Data related implementations, you will be responsible for:
- The architecture, design, development, testing and operations, delivering incrementally in iterative cycles
- Working on a range of projects and various state of the art technologies
- Participation in Agile rituals
- Handling production support, incidents, escalation, communications and resolution with stakeholders
- Identifying areas of optimisation and continuous improvement across the application stacks and processes.
What you offer
- 2+ years of practical experience in Core Java (1.8 preferred)
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot, RDBMS and SQL
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
- The ability to communicate problems and solutions effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- An Agile mindset and keen interest in software engineering across a range of technologies
- Experience in risk management and applying a risk mindset in day-to-day activities.
