JMO COORDINATOR - MONA VALE HOSPITAL
An opportunity for a Part-Time (job share) JMO Coordinator has come up to work at Mona Vale Hospital, located adjacent to the beautiful Mona Vale Beach and set within a friendly and supportive work environment. The role is based at Mona Vale Hospital but the successful applicant must be willing to work one day a week at the Northern Beaches Hospital to provide support to the NSLHD Junior Medical Officers currently working there. It is envisioned that the successful applicant will alternate each week working 3 days one week and 2 days the next week. Days can be negotiated at the interview stage.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is to assist in the ongoing development, implementation and co-ordination of the functions required to manage rostering and Health Roster, organising orientation, recruitment (experience in ROB is preferable), immigration, medical registration, education and accreditation for the junior medical workforce.
The position will be responsible for cost effective, fair and equitable rostering for all junior medical workforce on-site at Mona Vale Hospital Hospital to ensure best rostering practices are followed.
The position will assist in the yearly recruitment campaign, co-ordinating immigration and medical registration applications. Preparation of all necessary new starter documentation and maintenance of junior medical staff personnel files will be required.
The JMO Co-ordinator is ultimately responsible for filling of long term vacancies by redeployment of current staff, recruitment of locums and use of additional rostered / un-rostered overtime to address these vacancies. The position also has responsibility for redistribution of junior medical staff during times of low and high activity (e.g. seasonal increase during winter months)
The JMO Co-ordinator will:

  • Be responsible for ensuring all junior medical staff have current medical registration, including the updating of StaffLink.
  • Maintain Mandatory Training Records for all Medical Staff.
  • Update StaffLink with the MOs yearly Performance Reviews.
  • Be responsible for updating HealthRoster with rostering information, sick leave and annual leave requests.
  • Provide some administrative support the Director of Prevocational Training and Education.
