Join the Varsity Events team - Functions Manager (Chief Party Officer!)

We’re on the lookout for a talented Functions Manager to join our Events & Functions team, Based at our newest venue in Cannington, embodying the corporate Varsity brand, the Functions Manager is responsible for supporting the business across functions, bookings and overall customer experience delivering first class customer service to both in venue and online customers.

Varsity started way back in 2013 in our OG Nedlands venue (named Perth's Bogan Bar by some local newspaper) and over the past 10 years Varsity has become Perth's most beloved American style hospitality brand with 8 venues across Perth and big plans to continue to grow in the coming years.

Our Functions team are responsible for delivering for identifying, anticipating, and satisfying our customers' needs, before they often know what they need to drive business profitability. We expect that you will be able to Join the Functions team and thrive within a diverse, high performing team.

As the Functions Manager at Varsity Cannington, this role will focus primarily on:

• Manage all bookings and functions and assist with large format events, including but not limited to; responding to customer queries, generating run sheets, catering orders, bar tabs and liaising directly with the venue and kitchen teams. 
• Manage all inbound bowling & arcade bookings.
• Providing responses to customer queries and complaints that is representative of Varsity’s voice.
• Providing support to the venue and Head Office team from a functions & communication perspective in line with Varsity brand requirements.
• Develop and maintain Function Tracker, Bowling & Arcade software ensuring a 5-star interactive experience.
• With the help of the Functions Team, maintaining engagement with returning customers to maintain loyalty through targeted local marketing campaigns.
• Have an outgoing and friendly personality. 
• The ability to ensure a positive customer experience for our Varsity customers / team members. 
• Willingness to tackle problems head-on. 

Skills/experience that would make your profile even sweeter:

• A basic understanding of relevant technologies and how they can be best utilised (Asana, Now Book It, Function Tracker are highly desirable).
