SalaryThe position of Joiner / Cabinet Maker is responsible for the accurate manufacturing of custom joinery and joinery components in accordance with issued production orders, construction documentation, allocated time frames, program, schedule and specific requirements for quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant vocational education, training, and industry experience in cabinet making, woodworking, joinery and shop fitting.
- Experience constructing shop fitting joinery for retail and hospitality settings.
- Proficiency in using woodworking tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of various joinery techniques and woodworking materials.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, design and technical shop drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements, cuts and joins.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Physical dexterity and stamina to perform tasks for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of safety protocols in a workshop environment.
- The ability to be resourceful and financially responsible with materials.
- Eye for detail, accuracy and precision.
