Your New Chapter As a member of The Barrier Truth, you will be instrumental in crafting the narrative of Broken Hill. You will report on a rich variety of local stories, from the workings of the city council to the pulse of community events. Key Responsibilities
- Producing compelling local news stories, features, and advertorials with a fresh angle
- Developing and deepening community ties

- Excelling under tight deadlines and contributing to our editorial strategy
Essential Criteria
- A degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience
- A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to tell engaging stories
- Exceptional research and interviewing capabilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Time management prowess and organizational skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and digital photography
- A current driver's licence.
Desirable Attributes
- A connection to or knowledge of the Broken Hill region
- An enterprising spirit, with a readiness to explore new storytelling methods.
